Check out the Yellow BRKer Gathering | Friday, April 29th (4:00 – 7:00 PM)
You are invited to join The Yellow BRKers on Friday, April 29th, 2016 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Omaha, starting at 4:00 pm and you can linger until 7:00 pm (or longer). There will be a short program at approximately 5:30.
This is a casual atmosphere. It’s a “happy hour” type of gathering – not a formal dinner or anything of that sort.
The Yellow BRKer Party is a 100% informal and unofficial gathering of Berkshire shareholders. It’s been held the Friday before the annual meeting for over 20 years. In the early years both Warren Buffett and his daughter Susie Buffett would attend the party. In fact Susie Buffett named the group the “Yellow BRKers” after her favorite movie the “Wizard of Oz” and the yellow brick road in the movie. So we won’t dare upset the Buffett’s and change the name! Every year about 200 people show up. Some are long time shareholders and for some it’s their first annual meeting.
The gathering is not intended as a forum to promote any particular product, service, or professional. The event is just a common time and place for Berkshire fans, supporters, and enthusiasts to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones before the official weekend.
The DoubleTree is located on 16th and Dodge. There may be some street parking, otherwise, one can use the parking garage with an entrance from the South at 16th & Dodge street, just east of the First National Bank.
Meet Jeremy Miller and Jeff Gramm | Saturday, April 30th (3:30 – 6:00 PM)
Come join Jeremy Miller (Warren Buffett’s Ground Rules) and Jeff Gramm (Dear Chairman) for a beer at Mr. Toad’s Pub immediately after the Berkshire Hathaway meeting. The bar is a very short walk from the arena. Drinks on Jeff (within reason).
Shabbat/Passover in Omaha | In Memory of Forrest Krutter ז״ל.
