Interestingly, I didn’t discover Don Braid or Mainfreight. Instead, all the way from New Zealand, they discovered me.
I made an investment into a tiny freight-forwarder, then known as Target Logistics (financials), more than a decade ago. Much to my surprise, Don Braid opportunistically grabbed what I believed to be a long-term compounder. I woke up to this headline on September 17, 2007.
Learning more about Mainfreight in the subsequent years has been a sheer delight. Key milestones from this journey:
